 Ref:24534  EHRHARDT, W. London. No 609636. Centre-seconds Deck Watch. Silver crystal case hallmarked Birmingham 1904-5, casemaker WE (William Ehrhardt). Three-quarter plate movement engraved with the Broad Arrow mark, jewelled to the 3rd. Single-roller lever escapement, balance-spring with overcoil. Single sunk signed enamel dial, gold and blued-steel centre-seconds hands. 56 mm diameter.

A good example by one of the least known but most interesting English watchmakers of his time, a pioneer of advanced manufacturing techniques. A photocopy of Ehrhardt’s obituary, published in the Horological Journal, January 1898, is available if wanted. Dial with very faint hair cracks, as usual, otherwise in good original condition. Cleaned.
