Gold plated case and integral strap, with stainless-steel snap-on back. Smiths Cal:200 8 3/4 x 5 1/4 ligne 17-jewel gilded movement with 'Permalife' unbreakable mainspring, as first released by Smiths in 1955, and the smallest British movement then in production. Double-roller detached lever escapement with steel escape, the monometallic balance with 'Chronospan' balance-spring. Silvered dial with raised gilt batons with a star at 12, with matching gilt hands. 21 mm, not including button or lugs.

This model is not shown in any catalogue I own, but is similar to examples shown in Smiths 1964 catalogue, page 5. NB: This case style is not waterproof and all Smiths wristwatches of this date are best kept well away from wet and damp conditions.

Case and dial showing some of the expected signs of age and use. Not cleaned by me and tries to tick when wound, but sold as needing a service - my cost approximately £120+VAT.
