Large and slim silver English made case hallmarked London 1917, casemaker JW&Co (Joseph Walton & Co, Clerkenwell). Omega 19 Ligne calibre LOB CHRON three-quarter plate gilt keyless movement with the chronograph work mounted on the top plate. Straight line lever escapement with club-tooth (divided lift) escape. Compensation balance, balance-spring with overcoil and fine adjustment regulator. Enamel dial in perfect condition with 15 minute register at 12 and additionally marked in red with a 5-minute countdown, gold and blued-steel hands. 63 mm diameter.

Omega Watch Company, Bienne, founded in Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848 by Louis Brandt & Fils, becoming the largest watch company in Switzerland by 1890, world famous for their many record winning watches.


Joseph Walton & Co, then at Upper Charles St, Clerkenwell, who incorporated the business of Fred Thoms on his death in 1930.


Rear of case with stylish engraved 1927 dedication, otherwise a rare form of chronograph in very good original condition, as well as being very well cased. Not cleaned by me but winding and working correctly. The watch can be freshly serviced if required, probable cost around £200.
