Quarter repeating - English work

Very rare rough movement with complications, circa 1830.

More details

Slim fullplate frame fitted with finished plunge quarter-repeating work, hammers and its barrel. Otherwise no train, escapement, etc. Movement 42 mm diameter and 8 mm deep.

NB: I can think of no better example that shows off the art and skill of the English repeating motion makers, and all never to be seen by the customer who would have purchased and worn the finished watch!

A very rare survival, in good and complete condition, with a few additional  parts not shown in the image that came in the same box.
