Duplex movement, ex Clockmaker's Company collection, circa 1820.
18-size fullplate fusee movement with fully engraved cock set on the top plate, with cap jewels on balance and escape. Duplex (frictional rest) escapement retaining its slotted ruby roller. Flat steel balance, spiral blued-steel balance-spring. 41 mm diameter, 12.5 mm deep, not including centre arbor or brass edge.

This movement was sold by the Cl Co at Sothebys, London on 10th December 1981, lot 34. It had been bequeathed to the Co by T Vickery in 1946 - see Bromley, item 403. NB: It is the pillar plate that is stamped with the Lancashire size 18 10
Lacking brass-edge, dial, motion work and hands. Otherwise complete and in good original, unbroken condition. Not cleaned by me and obviously dirty but will tick if wound.
