Three-quarter plate going-barrel movement jewelled to the centre, with cap jewels on balance, lever and escape, the farme stamped with NN's number 4594. Single-roller lever escapement. Compensation balance, balance-spring with overcoil. Beautiful snap-on signed enamel dial in perfect condition, blued-steel hands. 44.5 mm diameter, 8 mm deep, not including centre arbor.

The firm of M F Dent, Cockspur St, London, one of the most important English watch, clock and chronometer makers of the second half of the 19th century.

Hour hand incomplete and balance pivot broken. Otherwise complete and a good example of NN's work of the period. Not working.
