Quarter repeating - English work

Rare rough movement with complications, circa 1820.

More details

Large fullplate frame inside its original tin box, with finished plunge quarter-repeating work, hammers, etc, but no gongs. Train supplied complete with uncut fusee, plus other parts in small pill box and the cock table left extra deep so it can be finished for any form of balance and spring. No escapement parts nor any makers stamps that I can see. Movement 48 mm diameter.

NB: I can think of no better example that shows off the art and skill of the English repeating motion makers, and all never to be seen by the customer who would have bought the finished watch!

A very rare survival, in good and complete condition, as found by me many years ago.
