This exact model does not feature in any Smiths catalogue owned by me, but Smiths produced a host of different designs for women, though mostly not in solid gold cases as here. For more information about Smiths English wristwatches see the short note in my website Glossary, and my illustrated article on Smiths ‘English Wristwatches’ in the April 2003 issue of Antique Collecting. NB: This case style is not waterproof and all Smiths wristwatches of this date are best kept well away from wet and damp conditions.
Case in good condition, the edge of the dial showing a few of the expected signs of age and use. Serviced for its previous owner and looks to be working well.
