Unusual English key wound movement with going-barrel, circa 1910.
Capped fullplate movement with indirect winding and barrel set-up on the barrel-bar, the hollow-back frame stamped S.Y (Yeomans). Single-roller detached lever escapement. Gold balance, spiral balance-spring. Enamel dial with seconds at 6. 43 mm diameter, 11.5 mm deep, not including centre arbor.
Samuel Yeomans 'Wholesale Watch Manufacturer' 48 Spon St, Coventry. One of Coventry's leading firms, known to have made a great variety of different watches, from centre-seconds stop watches to karrusels, including many that were awarded Kew A certificates at this period.
Lacking hands and dial with edge chip, otherwise complete. Not cleaned by me but will tick if wound.
