Smiths produced their cheaper range of movements at their purpose built factory at Gurnos Works, Ystradgynlais, near Swansea, Wales. They also purchased movements from Japan and Switzerland, as in this example: Smiths model SP 3182.
Agon Watch Factory, set up in Mumpf, Switzerland, by Robert Triebold in 1930. Specialised in the manufacture of pin-pallet (Roskopf type) movements before being taken over by the SSIH group.
Never used and in very good condition - a perfect example of this Smiths model. Not cleaned by me but will tick if wound. NB: I make no claims for timekeeping as this forty+ year old watch will need cleaning and oiling first.
