Slim Lepine-type movement with standing barrel, the rest of the train held under single cocks fixed to a single plate, finished from an 18-size Lancashire supplied hollow-back rough movement. Duplex escapement, with intact ruby roller. Compensation balance, spiral balance-spring. Signed enamel dial. 45 mm diameter, only 6.5 mm deep, not including centre arbor.

Richard Widenham, winner of the Greenwich chronometer Trials in 1825. A famous and fairly early maker of chronometers, in partnership with Adams and trading as "Makers to the Royal Navy" around 1840. 


Dial with faint hair crack and lacking hands, otherwise in good complete and original condition. Cleaned by its previous owner and will tick happily if wound.
