Forged steel with PS STUBS stamp, the frame also stamped 13, which is thought to identify the actual maker.

In fine condition. As shown in the Peter Stubs 1851 Tool Catalogue (see Crom page 198), item 91. 2 inches (5 cm) in length, weighing just 12 grams. NB: The design of Stubs hammer heads changed very little during the 19th century and were mostly sold without a handle, this being made, to suit, by the owner.
