Beautiful large centre-seconds watch, in lovely original condition.
Heavy engine-turned gold case with flat reeded band hallmarked London 1821, casemaker TW (Thomas Walker, Clerkenwell). Fullplate fusee movement with nicely engraved cock, with cap jewels on balance (diamond) and escape, wound and hand setting from the rear, the cap stamped RE and numbered as the movement. Cylinder (dead-beat) escapement with 15-tooth brass escape. Gold balance, spiral balance-spring. Lovely off-white signed enamel dial with convex edge in perfect original condition, original gold hands. 53.5 mm diameter.
