Heavy engine-turned gold case with flat reeded band hallmarked London 1821, casemaker TW (Thomas Walker, Clerkenwell). Fullplate fusee movement with nicely engraved cock, with cap jewels on balance (diamond) and escape, wound and hand setting from the rear, the cap stamped RE and numbered as the movement. Cylinder (dead-beat) escapement with 15-tooth brass escape. Gold balance, spiral balance-spring. Lovely off-white signed enamel dial with convex edge in perfect original condition, original gold hands. 53.5 mm diameter.

Case, movement, dial and hands in lovely original condition, showing just a few signs of use - about as good as its gets for a two hundred year old watch, and such a good looking late Georgian design. Serviced, guaranteed and fitted with an new/old stock crystal without a single scratch.
