Dudley Adams, 60 Fleet St, London, son of George Adams, both renowned retailers of scientific instruments - see Clifton Directory of British Scientific Instrument Makers 1550-1851.
Light signs of use showing to the case but no worn patches to the gilding, and none of the usual dust under the glass thanks to its hunter case and an obviously careful owner - the best example I have handled. A perfect accompaniment for a good pocket watch, and rare in this condition.
