Very rare rough movement with complications, circa 1890.
Barred movement complete with train, keyless work and most of the steel work, The underdial calendar and moon phase work with silver and blued-steel discs ready for engraving, the adjusting pushers also installed and working. The escapement parts (straight-line detached lever), balance and balance-spring yet to be fitted. Movement 43 mm diameter and 10 mm deep, not including arbors and dial.
The movement possibly by Japy, but no markings seen although I did not remove the calendar work to check.
A very rare survival, in good and complete but somewhat tarnished condition.
