A perfect accompaniment for any silver watch on a 'double Albert' chain.
Engine-turned silver watch form case hallmarked 1890, casemaker JO (James Oliver, Clerkenwell). Typical brass movement with 'Star of David' trademark, the oscillating weight pivoted at one side, with fine adjustment for stride length. Two piece silvered dial engraved 1 - 12 miles, blued-steel hand. 42.5 mm diameter.
The superior model having the added refinement of a rotating scale moved by the button. This is used to zero the scale to the hands, rather than resetting/pushing the hand using a finger.
The dial silvering showing some age, as usual it seems, otherwise recently cleaned for its previous owner and working well.
