Fancy medallion designed to be held on a drop for a watch chain.
English silver hallmarked Birmingham 1886, makers stamp WHH (William Hair Haseler, Birmingham, also with offices in London). 26.6 mm diameter, weight 7 grams, suitable for any weight of watch chain.
The firm of William H Haseler Ltd later became directors of Liberty & Co and are associated with the manufacture of Liberty's 'Cymric' pattern of silver and jewellery, and also their 'Tudric' range of pewter ware.
Fitted to any form of watch chain by a small length of chain (drop) at the T-bar, as was the custom for waistcoat wear in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
In fine unpolished condition and unusually without previous initials or engraving.
