Slim 18ct gold double back case hallmarked 1921, casemakers R&S (Rotherham & Son). Rotherham's three-quarter plate 'super grade' movement, jewelled to the 3rd with cap jewels on balance, lever and escape, with their distinctive conjoined gold setting for the escape and lever jewels. Single-roller detached lever escapement. Compensation balance, balance-spring with overcoil. Signed enamel dial in perfect condition, with the original Rotherham's distinctive blued-steel hands. 49mm diameter and only 13 mm deep including the cover. Together with 18ct gold chain weighing 25 grams, in the original silk and velvet lined Sir John Bennettbox.
NB: The watch is shown in the box with what I believe is an original Sir John Bennett supplied 18ct single Albert chain with dog clip and a ring bolt on the short drop. The makers mark is indistinct but it came with the watch and is a perfect match both in colour and weight.
