Numerous items contained in a range of boxes.
Approximately ten screwplates, some complete and some partially broken, with many other plates and around 100 taps in four small metal tins, all contained in an old chocolate box labelled "watch screwplates and taps." Box 6 x 4 inches, the tins less than 2 inches long.
From the workshop of Charles Allix. NB: Charles had some of the finest tool collections through his hands, many via David Torrens, and was able to put together his own practical workshop, of which this material is part.
Such small watch size screwplates and taps of this age are very difficult to find, and are an ideal source for the restoration of older timepieces. All used, all 'as found' and priced accordingly.
